Rival tracker
Track the one manager you actually want to beat
Most FPL tools optimise your overall rank. Mini-leagues are not won that way — they are won against specific people. Armband's Rival Mode picks one manager and optimises your chance of finishing above them.
What the tracker shows
- Win probability. Your chance of finishing above them, from the current points gap plus a five-gameweek projection of both squads.
- The gap. How many points separate you, and how many gameweeks are left to move it.
- Coverage map. Players you both own, players only they own (your exposure) and players only you own (your edge).
- Chip ledger. Which chips each of you still holds, so a big swing never surprises you.
- Strategy that flips. Ahead, you converge and kill variance. Behind, you diverge and create it.
Why the strategy inverts
Leading a mini-league is a variance problem, not a points problem. When you're ahead, every shared player makes the result more certain in your favour. When you're behind, certainty is your enemy: you need weeks where your squad and theirs diverge. Armband works out which side of that line you're on and gives moves to match.
